Teide National Park is one of the most famous places (if not the most famous) in Tenerife, but although we have visited the island several times, we only decided to go to the park for the first time in five years. It was a mistake not to do it sooner, and you’ll soon understand why.
Getting to the park is much easier than it seems. There is no need to drive on narrow winding roads to reach the high altitudes – the roads are wide, scenic, and comfortable to drive on. And there is certainly altitude to be gained – the summit of Teide reaches an impressive 3,700 meters.
As you explore Teide National Park, you’ll be amazed by the breathtaking landscapes, including volcanic formations, unique flora, and stunning views that stretch across the island. The park is also home to an impressive array of wildlife, so make sure to keep an eye out for native species as you traverse the trails.
