You’ll find charming pebble beaches and hiking trails that start nearby.
Banana Museum of Madeira
The Banana Museum, located in Ponta do Sol, is a fascinating destination that delves into the history and importance of banana cultivation on the island. It features exhibits on traditional farming tools, cultivation methods, and the cultural impact of bananas on Madeira. Hiking in Madeira
Madeira boasts a wide variety of hiking trails, catering to all skill levels and distances. During our visit with our daughter, we tackled two hikes that were 5 km and 3 km long. These trails were manageable and not overly challenging, even for a young child. As soon as you leave the main roads and immerse yourself in nature, you’ll understand why Madeira is a haven for nature lovers. The stunning scenery and fresh air make you want to keep exploring.
